Sony Introduces New 3D Capable Blu-ray Disc Players For 2010

3D technology has been getting a lot of press coverage lately. Sony is well placed to up the tempo with the introduction of two unique blu-ray players that are 3D capable - the Sony BDP-S470 and Sony BDP-S570. Full 3D playability will only be available via a firmware update. You also require a 3-D compatible Hdtv and active shutter 3D glasses.

In addition to playing blu-ray discs, The BDP-S570 and S470 disc players also support DVD, CD as well as the superior SACD format.

To be able to output 3D images, the new HDMI version 1.4 standard is incorporated.
