This method was created to keep butter fresh for a week but not longer. Nowadays you can keep butter fresh for a month.
One of the best things I have ever bought. It resist heat up to 500 degrees F.Anything hot is not a problem now.When it comes to washing it, it’s much better than a normal oven mitt.You only have to put it in a dishwasher and that all you don’t have to wait until it dries. What happens when you spill boiling hot waterr on your hand ?Normally waterr would soak in it but silicone one is safer. It will save you from hot oil if you are a fan of Chinese food. Another great advantage is that it’s very hygienic because it’s made from silicone. Some people used to say that it ’s not too comfortable but until you can buy three fingered ones that is not a problem.
I highly recommend you silicone oven mitts and norpro butter keeper because for me it works great.
